The proposals under consideration by Breckland Council would see the old Dereham Thai restaurant in Quebec Street turned into two new flats.

The building is currently sitting empty and the developers insist the restaurant would have "no viable future" if it were to reopen.

The plans have emerged as the appearance of shopfronts........
