MP calls on Norfolk parents to support phones ban in schools
Jerome Mayhew, Conservative MP for Broadland and Fakenham, has launched a survey on the issue after receiving emails from concerned constituents.
It comes after the prime minister described a proposal to ban the use of phones during the school day as "unnecessary" due to this already being the case in many classrooms.
Mr Mayhew is seeking the views of parents and teachers about the amount of time children spend on the internet and whether social media has exacerbated bullying in schools.
