City of Norwich School's plans to open its tennis courts for longer faced strong backlash from the local community off Newmarket Road.

Norwich City Council's planning committee refused the application today (Thursday, May 8) after hearing from neighbours who said their daily lives were being disrupted by loud noise and bright lights on the courts.
