Councillor behind failed 'red card system' quits local politics
Joe Barrett, a former Green member of Wymondham Town Council, has resigned from the authority due to health concerns.
His time on the council has been marked by his controversial idea to introduce a 'red card' system for members who need to leave meetings because proceedings are triggering high levels of anxiety.
Mr Barrett, 26, was a councillor for a year and a half but did not manage to formally implement his much-touted system before stepping down.
