Council FINALLY sells hotel and golf course... at a loss
The long-running saga surrounding Barnham Broom hotel and spa has come to a close after Breckland Council offloaded the property for £6.9m.
The site has been bought by the owner-operator of the business, who sold it to the council in the first place and has leased the land and buildings from it ever since.
Breckland Council purchased the site for £7m in 2006 but has struggled to sell it since then, in efforts which have been wrapped in secrecy right from the start.
