Council faces criticism after IT mishap resulted in chaos for house buyers
Breckland Council has been working through a huge backlog of land searches, a key part of the conveyancing process when purchasing a property, over the last few months.
While the authority says it is "nearly back on track" after the chaos, councillors have called for reassurance that enough is being done to rectify the situation.
A meeting of Breckland Council was told people buying properties in the district are still having to wait up to six weeks for necessary searches to be completed.
Land searches are mandatory........
