300-year-old path to stay in triumph for people living nearby
Months of bureaucracy and red tape have been sidestepped by a group of Costessey folk who sought to legally protect a centuries-old Costessey footpath from being removed from use.
The dispute kicked off in late February when farm owner Nigel Darling threatened to close the track between Marriott's Way and Windmill Lane due to "constant" vandalism and anti-social behaviour.
A new right-of-way could be instated close........
