NHS trust finally out of special measures for first time in four years
The Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT), which provides the region's mental health services, has been under NHS England's recovery support programme since 2021.
The programme, previously known as "special measures", is a system whereby struggling trusts are put under tougher scrutiny and offered extra support.
The NSFT has remained in this programme for almost four years, even after its overall rating was boosted in 2023.
However, NHS bosses have said that improvements at the organisation have now resulted in it being moved out of the measures.
