The estate where people are still living in fear three years on since brutal murder
Vale Green in Mile Cross was once a close-knit community where neighbours would enjoy communal BBQs.
But since the killing of 18-year-old Joe Dix in 2022 folk living in the estate are worried about their safety and keep to themselves.
It comes as another teenager suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in Aylsham, just nine miles outside Norwich, on Thursday evening.
Some of the flats at Vale Green (Image: Denise Bradley) Anita Snelling, 56, who knew Joe and has lived in the estate for five years, said she has installed CCTV in her flat after the killing.
Anita Snelling and her husband Anthony (Image: Denise Bradley) She said: "We used to have a community here where we'd all come out and have a barbeque in the yard but we don't do any of that anymore."
She said she and her husband, Anthony, lock themselves in their flat and have a mesh netting covering their balcony, which, in addition to keeping their pets in, also keeps people out.

The couple are not the only ones who have become more cautious.
Linda Hewitt, 77, said her doors "are always locked".
