Six years and nearly £600k later... seaside town's church restored
St Nicholas Church in Wells-next-the-Sea is now back to its former glory.
Work to restore the church, which was struck by lightning 146 years ago, began in 2019 and saw the building listed on Historic England's Heritage At Risk Register.
