Police stop tree felling over concerns of bats roosting by road
The trees near the end of Broomhill Lane in Reepham were spared the chop after police were called following concerns of bats present in them.
Neighbours, who have previously spotted bats nesting in the area, called the police just before 9am when contractors were getting ready to fell the trees.
It follows a letter being sent out by developers Lovell warning people in the area that "clearance work" would be carried out.
