Those with children at Great Dunham Primary School are urging bosses of Unity Education Trust to rethink plans to merge their school with another in Beeston, three miles away.

It is said the school could only end up with 13 pupils by 2029.

The letter also invited parents to question the proposal and discuss their fears at a public meeting at the school on Tuesday, which this newspaper was not allowed to attend.
