Family forced to flee home because of allergic reaction to nearby PLAYGROUND

Zoe Rowntree said she and her 16-year-old son had both suffered a strong reaction to the material used to provide a soft surface at the play area, around 50 metres away.

She claimed she had been left with breathing difficulties as a result and even had to go to hospital for treatment.

The pair's allergy is activated when they are exposed to proteins naturally found in latex, which comes from the sap of a rubber tree.

The material was used to provide a safe surface at the playground - on Girling Road in Dereham - and will be used to provide the replacement.

The family's problems started when the old surfacing was ripped up, releasing the material into the air.

Mrs Rowntree, 43, her husband Keith, 48, and two sons have now moved out of their housing association property on Humbletoft Road and into temporary accommodation while a more........
