Brave army engineers who lost lives on Norfolk beaches remembered
A new plaque has been revealed to commemorate eight Royal Engineers who died during mine operations near Holkham Gap and Wells-next-the-Sea in the Second World War.

The eight men were pivotal in anti-invasion defences and mine clearance operations.
Their names which appear on the plaque on Wells' War Memorial Institute Club are Lance Corporal MP Christie, Sapper J McAtear, Sapper R Hilton, Sapper........
