Mr L Wallis, who lives in Dereham, applied retrospectively for an outbuilding to be used as a property available on Airbnb, a business that allows hosts to rent out a space on their property to other guests on a long or short-term basis through an online app.

His agent, Jonathon Burton, said in the application to Breckland Council that the Sheep Dip at Shepherd Lodge, between Dereham and Attleborough, was converted in January 2023.

Mr Wallis wanted the outbuilding on Ellingham Road to be used as accommodation for friends and family.

However, since June of the same year, it has been available for guests to the Norfolk countryside to book through Airbnb.
