Great Yarmouth is among the 15 shortlisted contenders after almost 400 places from across the country entered the landmark competition.

The town's submission highlighted its medieval rows, maritime heritage and community celebrations.

It described itself as a town of "pride, imagination and resilience" where historic traditions sit alongside ambitious plans for the future.

The shortlisting comes after Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft's failed 2021 joint bid to be named UK City of Culture........
