Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Lifeboat Station will be relocating to the former Pilot Station on Riverside Road, after the site was offered to the RNLI by the Port Authority.

On Sunday, April 27, crew said the move marked a breakthrough in long-running efforts to find a suitable base for the Shannon-class lifeboat George and Frances Phelon.

But those hopes were quickly muted by RNLI headquarters.
