Surge in 'horrific' dog attacks on farm animals sparks plea to pet owners
Latest figures from rural insurer NFU Mutual show the region has bucked a national trend which saw the cost of attacks on UK livestock falling by 23pc in 2024.
Incidents in East Anglia included an attack by an out-of-control dog which caused severe injuries to one of around 300 sheep grazing at Caistor Roman Town near Norwich in September - prompting a temporary ban of dogs at the popular walking area.
