The National Farmers' Union (NFU) held meetings with politicians representing five political parties during the two-day event.

Discussions with the minister, who was appointed on June 12, focused on Defra’s new Farming Roadmap and covered environmental support schemes, biosecurity, EU realignment, fuel and fertiliser costs, water security, planning, challenges facing abattoirs, and the need to build a more resilient British farming industry.
