Fears grow that budget cuts could be 'another nail in the coffin' for Norfolk farmers
Steff Aquarone, the Lib Dem MP for North Norfolk, has joined farmers and conservationists in raising concerns following national media reports that Defra's nature-friendly farming budget is set to be slashed in next week's UK spending review.
The Labour government has committed to spending £5bn on sustainable agriculture grants and incentives over two years, but there are fears that the funding's long-term future could be threatened by looming departmental cuts.
