Farm machine club celebrates 80 years of innovation at the Royal Norfolk Show

The club marked its 80th anniversary by demonstrating the evolution of agricultural engineering with a Grand Ring parade of machinery spanning the last eight decades - including tractors and a combine harvester from the 1940s.

Its stand also illustrated the huge contrast by displaying a 1940s Fordson Major tractor alongside a huge modern John Deere 8RX.

Normac vice chairman Jim Bailey said the club has also evolved since its formation in 1946.
