Angry locals have complained to Blakeney Parish Council saying they can't find a space in the half of the Coronation Car park off the narrow High Street which has been allotted to them.

Some are miffed because the village's council, which hands out permits, also gives them to contractors working on housing association properties in the area, in order to prevent their vehicles from clogging up its narrow streets.

Others say too many permits are handed out, including to second home owners, while a limit should be imposed.

When a reporter from this newspaper visited, there were a handful of spaces left in both car parks - along with three decorators' vans, a mobile car repair van and its portable shelter, and two seemingly-abandoned trailers along the side marked for residents.

Victoria Easa, who works in hospitality locally and lives on the High Street, said she often struggles to find a space.
