Police were called to Tottenham Street in Great Yarmouth on December 12 after reports that two men who lived on the road were carrying kitchen knives and squaring up to each other.

Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court heard that Danny Crowe, 25, was putting his newborn son to bed when he heard Patrick Hannon, 63, shouting outside.

The court heard that Crowe then opened his window and shouted at Hannon to be quiet and tried to explain that he was putting his son to bed.

The court heard that Crowe then stormed out of his home and shoved the 63-year-old to the ground and went back inside his property.

Crowe expected that to have been the end........
