Great Yarmouth Borough Council took to Facebook to celebrate flying the flag at its headquarters in Hall Plain.

In a post made yesterday, the council said: "This morning, we proudly raised the Pride flag at The Town Hall to mark the start of Pride Month – a time to celebrate love, identity, and the vibrant LGBTQ community.

"By flying the Pride flag, we reaffirm our commitment to standing with the LGBTQ community – today and every day. Happy Pride Month!"

Mr Lowe, who does not agree with what the Pride Flag represents, commented on the post: "Why not fly flags that represent........
