The remains were discovered by a member of the public on May 18 and officers have been on the scene since.

A large area of the field remains cordoned off opposite the Pondworld Retail Park in Lynn Road.

Yellow markers had been placed among the crops in a number of locations.

The numbered signs were arranged more or less in a straight line parallel to the road, around 30m from the grass verge.
