Futurepump, based in Wainford, just outside Bungay, will use the funding from the Gates Foundation to invest in upgrading its production line at its factory in India.

The firm, which is headquartered at the Silo - a former mill overlooking the River Waveney - manufactures solar powered irrigation systems for farmers in developing countries.
