Carbon storage test off Norfolk coast injected CO2 used for beer beneath North Sea
Oil and gas company Perenco successfully injected carbon dioxide into a depleted natural gas reservoir in the Leman gas field, 30 miles off the coast of Great Yarmouth.
The test was for carbon capture and storage (CCS) - a process which prevents CO2 produced by industry from being released into the atmosphere by capturing and storing it underground.
Perenco has now revealed it used food grade........
