Why is this Easter Egg Roll different from all other Easter Egg Rolls? Sorry, wrong holiday — but this was a White House Easter celebration unlike any other. Not because President Trump made derogatory remarks about his political opponents in front of children (he did that last year). Or because Trump saying appalling, contradictory things about the Iran war is some new development (it’s been the major theme of this whole conflict). But it was still really something to watch Trump offer completely bonkers explanations for his attacks on Iran while children frolicked, a military band played jaunty tunes, and the Easter Bunny was in earshot. Here are some of the wildest moments.

Were you aware that we tried to arm “them,” with like, “a lot of guns,” but some other guys kept them or something? And now these unspecified people are going to “pay a big price”? No? Well, don’t get hung up on the (nonexistent) details from this story. The point is Trump was right the whole time.
