In an endeavour to cut down wait times, the proposed arrangement includes plans to expand e-gate access at European terminals, aiming to curtail extensive lines at passport checks. The scheme promises reduced administrative hurdles for companies which could lead to consumer price cuts and a projection of an almost £9 billion economic boost by 2040.
