3 X-factors that could shape the Eastern Semi-Final
For a second straight season, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will feature in the Eastern Semi-Final.
After capturing the crossover playoff spot in 2025, the Bombers fell 42-33 to Montreal in the Eastern Semi-Final. Again a West Division crossover team one year later, Winnipeg will visit the Toronto Argonauts this weekend in a battle of 9-9 teams.
These teams split their two-game season series with the Blue Bombers prevailing 30-21 in a Week 6 matchup before the Argos flipped the script a couple months later with a 30-28 win in Week 17. Due to the FIFA World Cup, both games were played at Winnipeg’s Princess Auto Stadium, which means this will be the first matchup at BMO Field.
