Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas is all smiles Tuesday taking aim at provincial and federal politicians he says “have no clue about what’s happening in Calgary.”

Farkas has the right to smile.

The majority of city council, who say they believe all Calgarians should be treated equally and inner-city residents are not second-class citizens, back Farkas.

Sadly, there are six councillors who chose a big-time tent operator over people trying to get their kids to sleep at night or workers needing some rest before pulling another hard shift at work or individuals who can’t stop the noise even with earplugs.

Politicians who often pride themselves on slamming the elites were backing one of them. They apparently lost their populism somewhere on the way to Cowboys tent.

The big guns come out. Real artillery.
