Braid: Poll shows exodus from separate Alberta would make Quebec flight look minor

The prospect of Alberta leaving Canada is such a hot topic that the other potential “leavers” have been overlooked.

These are folks who would flee the province if independence goes forward in a serious way.

It’s a massive group, according to a dramatic new poll from the Angus Reid Institute.

“Alberta would risk losing a significant portion of its population,” it says.

“Of the two-thirds who say they would vote in a referendum to stay (in Canada), the vast majority say they would not live in an independent Alberta.
