Who would want to be a US ally in 2026?

Donald Trump went to war against the advice and interests of some of America’s closest friends and that’s having the consequences only he seems to have failed to predict. Now, having ignored those allies — or in the case of the UK, disparaged them as worthless — the US president is demanding they bail him out in the Strait of Hormuz.
