President Donald Trump is going to be extremely tough on radical Islamic nations as well as Muslim countries which patronize militancy, violent extremism and pave the path to Caliphate on Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and other Muslim nations. Muslim rights groups in the United States, including the ‘American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee’ have already started screaming at the signing of a new Executive Order titled ‘Protecting the United States from Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats’, targeting individuals from Muslim nations, which is far wider than the 2017 travel ban imposed on several Muslim and Arab countries. Following the signing of this Executive Order, US missions can now deny visa requests and remove individuals who already are legally staying in the United States.

According to a statement issued by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, the new directive signed by President Trump instructs the Secretary of State, the Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Director of National Intelligence to submit a report within 60 days identifying countries whose vetting and screening processes are deemed too deficient. That determination could trigger either partial or full suspensions on admitting nationals from these listed countries, as authorized by section 212(f) of the INA (8 U.S.C. 1182(f)).

“Section 1. Policy and Purpose.

(b) … And the United States must ensure that admitted aliens and aliens otherwise already present in the United States do not bear hostile attitudes toward its citizens, culture, government, institutions, or founding principles, and do not advocate for, aid, or support designated foreign terrorists and other threats to our national security”.

Muslim-Arab rights groups further said, “the order authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to remove individuals from these identified countries who are already legally in the United States, again using ideology as a basis for removal. Such practices echo some of the most troubling chapters in our nation’s history, when the government barred and scrutinized people solely for their viewpoints or associations rather than any credible security concern”.

Following signing of the new Executive Order on January 20, 2025, citizen of Bangladesh and Pakistan in particular shall be under strict vetting as Bangladesh currently is witnessing rise of radical Islamic and jihadist forces, where militants and terrorists are openly waving flags of Al Qaeda, Islamic State and Palestinian Hamas, while flags of the United States and Israel (a key ally of the........
