Advice on finding one’s way

Regarding my column of March 16 in which I describe my embarrassingly inept attempt to find my way from Little Rock's Baptist Medical Center to Fresh Market on Cantrell Road: I'm not the only one.

I received all sorts of clever, funny, self-deprecating, and informative email responses from readers, whose identities are being withheld lest you lump some of them in the same hapless category in which I've placed myself by admitting I couldn't get from point A to point B.

Your column, with the headline "The maze that is west Little Rock,'" really hit home. Seriously, you described my life! "No sense of direction" is my middle name. Let me tell you, I've had some epic adventures in getting lost. Like the time I went from Malvern to Little Rock, and somehow ended up ... well, let's just say it wasn't exactly the tourist brochures. Or the time I was leaving my granddaughter's school [in Garland County] and wound up on some seriously bumpy back roads, practically in the middle of nowhere. Hunting leases? Seriously? I even managed to drive miles past my destination in Hot Springs, despite having GPS! Why does........
