Phoenix company saved lives in Toronto plane crash
When a Delta Air Lines plane clipped a wing and flipped upside down, coming to a fiery stop in the snow at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport on Monday, the 80 passengers on board found themselves hanging upside down.
Usually, that is not a good thing.
In this instance, it saved their lives.
The seats they were in stayed bolted to the floor. And the restraints that held them in their seats kept them secure long enough to safely get down and make their way out of the plane.
Those seatbelts were manufactured in a facility on 47th Avenue in Phoenix. It’s called © Arizona Republic
