I recently had the chance to experience the high life, right here in Winnipeg. My wife Jackie and I were lucky enough to be invited by friends to the legendary Manitoba Club. What a treat! From the moment you step through the doors, you realize why this place is a local institution. Forget classy, it’s old-school elegance at its finest. Dating back to 1874, it’s one of the oldest private clubs in all of Canada. The atmosphere is quiet, refined and frankly, a perfect getaway from the daily grind. And the food? Exceptional! It wasn’t just dinner; it was an experience. I had a perfectly cooked filet, with a delicate crust of pistachios, topped with an edible, vibrant yellow flower that added a touch of whimsy. And yes, I ate the flower. Every bite was top-tier, high-end stuff. A real gourmet masterpiece. If you ever get the chance to visit, grab it. It’s a reminder that Winnipeg knows how to do luxury dining right.
