Democrats have routinely championed themselves as advocates of Ukraine, women, refugees, immigrants, and female victims of male violence. Given this activism, one would think an incident that checked all these boxes would have the utmost support from Democrats. However, the killing of Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, by a man on a train in Charlotte on Aug. 22 has left the usual vociferous Democrats conspicuously quiet.

How many Democrats have traveled to North Carolina to meet Zarutska’s family? Moreover, how many of them have expressed an interest or desire to do so? How many of them have even bothered to extend sympathies to her family? Based on all available information, the answer is none. 

Zarutska lived with her mother, sister, and brother in Huntersville, North Carolina, in the Charlotte metropolitan area. According to reports, she had recently moved in with her........
