Today, Vox announced the launch of America, Actually, a new video-first podcast hosted by Astead W. Herndon. Designed from the ground up for video platforms, the show will bring audiences inside the forces shaping American politics for a post-Trump era through immersive reporting, sharp analysis, and deeply human storytelling. America, Actually will explore the question: What does American politics look like without Trump at the center? It’s been a one-man show for more than a decade, but now, the country is heading toward the first open presidential election since 2016. With episodes will rolling out on YouTube and social platforms alongside audio, America, Actually reflects Vox’s continued emphasis on premium, multiplatform journalism that meets audiences where they are.
