Rock Legend Pulled From Tour by Doctors as He Faces a ‘Slow’ Recovery

Rock legend Bret Michaels had to give fans a bit of devastating news. He returned to the stage on Friday, August 21st for the first time since removing a kidney stone in July. However, just a day later, he revealed that he has to step away from the stage again for the foreseeable future.

“Doctors and paramedics determined immediately after the show that he still needs additional rest and recovery from his recent surgeries,” a statement read on Facebook. “Bret will be taking the next several months off to heal and get back to 100%.”

His doctors, Dr. Abby Borhan and Dr. Patel, listed the medical reasons why Bret Michaels should take it easy for a while. Given how brutal the summer can be, his kidneys need time to properly recover. That way, his blood sugar levels aren’t radically........
