I support Trump's peace plan, but I'm not sure Hamas can be trusted

Some events are so horrifying that they become unforgettable.

It's been two years since Hamas attacked Israel, slaughtering about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 251 people hostage, including Americans. I have not forgotten what happened that day, especially to certain families like the Bibas'.

Maybe it's because I, too, am a mother, or that, like Shiri Bibas, I, too, have two beautiful, ginger-haired children. But I cannot forget how jarring it was to see a video of Hamas abducting Shiri, 32, and her two small children, Ariel, 4 years old, and Kfir, just nine months old. Like the barbarians they are, Hamas terrorists filmed and released the footage. Shiri is seen gripping her young children, a terrified expression on her face – a mother's worst nightmare come to life. Worse still, Hamas returned their dead bodies well over a year after their abduction.

A terrorist group that will kidnap, kill and return the dead bodies of small children and their mother in a spectacle cannot be reasoned with − and yet America is still trying.
