TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — The missile struck the ground beside Terminal Three at Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday morning, just as thousands of people were arriving or departing Israel’s main airport.

The resulting explosion was enormous, as was the crater left by the missile. It was as wide as a city bus, and perhaps ten feet deep.

Shrapnel and dirt slammed onto the road leading to Terminal 3. Up to a dozen people were reportedly hurt, some seriously. Incredibly, impossibly almost, no one was killed.
