Five years after it became clear to so-called law enforcement leaders within the Albany Police Department that Officer Dion Johnson was an ethical train wreck, prosecutors in Ulster County have secured a plea deal that will result in his serving no jail time despite being indicted last fall on 11 charges, including felony burglary and sexual abuse.

Last week, Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to criminal trespass, official misconduct and two counts of harassment — all misdemeanors. As reported by the Times Union’s Phillip Pantuso, his conditional discharge will require the 35-year-old to work 60 hours of community service, undergo a........
