Editorial: What’s the holdup on Saratoga Springs police review board?
Saratoga Springs’ efforts to respond to the state’s call to shore up the community’s trust in its police officers is withering on the vine.
Two years after the members of the Saratoga Springs Civilian Review Board were seated, they still haven’t had the necessary mediation training required for the panel to begin operations.
That training could have happened any time since the city got a bid for the work last April. But the City Council and Mayor John Safford never brought the bid to a vote, according to reporting by the Times Union’s Wendy Liberatore.
