Albany County’s economic development arm has accepted a bid from two Long Island firms to execute the hotly anticipated demolition of Central Warehouse, the capital city’s favorite eyesore. The bulk of the contract will be paid by the state, and the rest will be covered by the county.

But the $14.6 million bid from Gramercy Group and LiRo-Hill wasn’t the lowest one received — and the lowest bidder is threatening........
