Editorial: A misstep from District Attorney Lee Kindlon

Lee Kindlon, two months into his term as the Albany County district attorney, has a communications director who is paid nearly $81,000 annually. And, as reported by the Times Union's Steve Hughes, a $45,000 annual contract with Communication Services.
That firm, owned by Libby Post, has been hired to handle what's being described as external communications for the district attorney’s office. Ms. Post, it's worth noting, is a co-founder of Progressive Elections, which ran Mr. Kindlon's election campaign against former District Attorney David Soares.

Why does Mr. Kindlon need two people speaking on his behalf? Well, the Democrat says, Ms. Post will focus on doing social media posts and communicating with state lawmakers. "She has a lot of contacts in the Legislature," Mr.........
