U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office on Friday. The session did not go well.

Americans are not supposed to give aid and comfort to this nation’s enemies. Federal law considers such an act to be treason.

But it is very hard to imagine that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was not, in a colloquial if not a legal sense, aided and greatly comforted by the ugly scene Friday afternoon in the Oval Office.
