How old is too old to be president?

Contrary to the familiar adage, not everyone can grow up to be president of the United States. There have been 45 people elected to the highest office in the land. But the Constitution places limitations on who may run for president, and when.
Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution states that to be eligible for the presidency, a person must have been born in the United States and must have been a resident for at least 14 years. Furthermore, such a person must be at least 35 years old. The restrictions on the presidency were further tightened in 1951 after Congress approved and states ratified the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, which limited a president to no more than two terms in office.

Now, it’s clear that another amendment is needed.
The minimum age requirement was intended to ensure that only people who were mature enough to handle the rigors of the presidency could ascend to that position of power. Certainly some individuals........
