Commentary: Cuts to public media will hurt communities in more ways than one

Recent proposals to reduce or eliminate public media funding are destructive and shortsighted. These actions would leave many Americans without the critical services local public television stations provide, from proven education resources to essential public safety services.
Public media is a public good. The House voted to rescind our funding; it’s up to our senators to reject these proposals and to protect public media.
