Bassett: LPGA vets compete at Pinehaven

The Epson Tour’s annual stop at Pinehaven Country Club showcased a field of young players launching their professional careers, plus current and former LPGA players hoping to return to form.
Despite the low purse, the Guilderland stop on the developmental tour of the LPGA continues to get high praise from players.

LPGA veteran Maria Fassi of Mexico returned to Pinehaven and tied for fifth this year. Her -4 finish 69-71-69 (209) left her five strokes behind champion Briana Chacon 69-68-67 (204).
She took home $8,000 for her efforts. She’s earned $1.2 million on the tour and is still seeking her first LPGA victory.
